Steve Harris is a customer service expert who has developed a unique approach to motivating front line teams to engage positively and effectively with their customers. He now shares these ideas and principles in his new book – Fired Up and Ready to Go! and presents them at many conferences within the UK, across Europe and in the USA.
Fired Up and Ready To Go! provides a highly charged practical guide to motivating front line teams. It describes the importance of attitude, skills and behaviours required to engage effectively with customers in order to drive sales, average spend and conversion. It also focuses on the role of leadership in driving and most importantly sustaining front line motivation.
His clients include over 90 retail brands including Selfridges, Marks & Spencer, Liberty and Toys R Us, and they recently supported the launch of “Pass My Parcel” a parcel delivery service – a joint venture between Amazon and Smiths News. He also work within the NHS and for several Housing Associations across the UK.
Steve has spent 20 years working in senior management first with Marks & Spencer and most latterly as Retail Director for The Body Shop.
Steve was the keynote speaker at our 2016 annual managers conference where he talked about how to ensure front line teams are fired up and ready to go for peak trade. His speech was pitched at exactly the right level and was packed with practical ideas. A first class performance!
