In one of the classic sporting moments of all time, Sir Matthew Pinsent led the Great Britain coxless four to victory at the Athens Olympic Games in 2004. Just eight one hundredths of a second ahead of the Canadian Champions, the win booked Matt’s place in Olympic history.
Since retiring in 2004, Matthew has dedicated his time to other sporting, commercial and media projects. As one of the BBC’s leading broadcasters for 2012, Matthew is fronting the World Olympic Dreams series, following 26 international athletes on their journeys from around the World to the London games. He is also a leading journalist for The Times’ Olympic team.
An extremely authoritative and accomplished motivational and after dinner speaker, Matthew’s speeches are always tailored to the client’s brief and audience’s requirements with special emphasis on teamwork, motivation and communication. His description of the dynamics of teamwork in a rowing crew are outstanding and mirror those that businesses aspire to achieve.
Matthew has spoken at corporate events for some of our most prestigious companies such as Camelot, Marks and Spencer, Procter & Gamble, IBM, Lombard, BT, NatWest, RBS to name a few.
Mathew was fantastic for our recent 6 Months to Go event at Procter & Gamble. He was a brilliant public speaker, engaging the whole audience with his great stories but also amazing table tennis skills. We had a wonderful day with him and are still revelling in the skill and tactics behind his game as well as his engaging personality. We received a great service from Raise the Bar which helped deliver a fantastic event.
