Sian Jones is a well-known newsreader, conference host, facilitator, presenter and communications coach. Siân has a wealth of live TV and radio experience as well as an acting background, all invaluable assets whether she’s fronting large-scale conferences, linking presentations and facilitating panel discussions, running workshops and team activities, coaching executives in public speaking, media training or presenting on TV or the web.
Sian Jones has an energetic and professional approach to everything she does. These qualities suit the world of the conference facilitator and awards host well and she is supremely comfortable in the role. She is a firm believer that one can never be too prepared – something that manifests itself in a willingness to immerse herself in the industry or profession prior to the event, working with the client on overall vision, impact, scripts and content.
Siân is highly adaptable to any number of requirements, industries and sectors and has worked extensively for pharmaceuticals, banks, financial services, food and beverage, media and leisure companies, education establishments and charities, as well as other public and private sector clients in the UK and abroad. Whether it’s to celebrate the launch of a new drug, rally company members together at team away days, interview industry specialists on the latest developments, changes and breakthroughs, handle crisis, organise break-out sessions ensuring outcomes are met, probe leading scientists, stimulate panel debates amongst politicians and experts, interview patients from their perspective, challenge long-held views whilst integrating ground-breaking discoveries or to handle detailed Q&A sessions acting as a mediator between the audience and the client, Siân adds professionalism, focus and fun to any event. She adds gravitas when required and light-hearted relief and humour if necessary.
As well as being a conference host, she is also a freelance TV presenter and a highly experienced presentation, web and media skills trainer and speaker coach. A regular presenter for the ITV Morning News and Daybreak for London for over eight years, she has also anchored financial news for Bloomberg and CNBC, International news for the ITV News Channel, sport for SKY News, news and weather for 5 as well as presenting lifestyle shows for Granada, The Overseas Property Channel and The Life Channel.
Prior to this, she spent many years in Asia. Based in Hong Kong, Sian worked as a TV presenter on ATV and TVB, as well as writing, producing, acting and comedy compering before moving into PR for CNN International. During her time here she addressed many Asian audiences and organised events in Tokyo, Sydney, Manila, Taiwan and KL.
Siân Jones is also highly experienced presentation, webcast, media and crisis communications coach who helps others exude confidence in the spotlight whether they are presenting on stage, on camera or online. She prides herself in her ability to bring out the very best in individuals when it comes to making an impact. As a communications coach, she utilises her 15 years experience presenting on camera, producing, writing and acting, giving her a unique perspective on what it takes to create and deliver compelling presentations and interviews. Her training methodology incorporates all these aspects together with her NLP training and has been described by many clients as ‘life-changing’ and ‘inspirational.’ Her coaching extends to hundreds of clients in the public and private sector in the UK and abroad.
Siân was an excellent Chairperson and a pleasure to work with. As well as keeping the audience engaged, she also kept the speakers in check and everything ran like clockwork. She is extremely personable, listened and understood what was needed and was an oasis of calm which is greatly appreciated from an organizer’s perspective. That’s why we have asked Siân to Chair our event for the past three years – she is one of the team!
