Pete Mosley

Pete Mosley is the author of The Art of Shouting Quietly – a guide to self-promotion for introverts and other quiet souls. Shouting Quietly has had international success and is a ‘set text’ for Cambridge University’s Leading Change programme. Pete also writes and podcasts regularly for Psychologies magazine, and contributes to Susan Cain’s Quiet Revolution website – helping support a huge shift in the way that businesses, schools and families work with introverts.

The thinking behind Pete’s work is built on 30 years of face to face coaching, training and problem-solving sessions with a wide range of successful people. He has observed what works – and what doesn’t – and distilled it into sensible, realistic advice. It’s all based on real conversations with real people confronting life’s thornier issues – just like you.

Pete works with people who aspire to do or create extraordinary things. He does this through writing, speaking, running live events, delivering training sessions and seminars and by coaching individuals on a one to one basis.

Pete delivers talks and workshops on confidence building, values-led communication and presentation skills for corporate clients, universities, and creative and cultural organisations. Pete has popped up on a wide number of platforms – from schools in the Bronx, New York to the wilds of rural Leicestershire; from daytime TV and keynotes for business networks through to his recent ‘Cheeky Letters and Dream Lists’ TED talk.

Over the years his clients have included many business owners and entrepreneurs, CEO’s, a vet, a Roman Catholic hermit, senior managers (corporate and academic), rock musicians, visual artists, writers and cultural leaders. All have wanted to make their mark on the world and be successful on their own terms.

Pete’s talks and workshops are illustrated with his own colourful and thought-provoking hand-drawn slides – no boring PowerPoints here!

Workshop Information

Sound Good – get your story straight.

This workshop is designed to help quieter people (shy, introvert, reflective) to find a voice and build the confidence they need to participate more in life and at work. Rather than exhorting them to emulate introverts or ‘fake it till they make it’ Sound Good helps them find meaningful, values-driven ways to share ideas and communicate what they do. By helping quieter team members contribute more effectively, companies can reap the rewards of the quiet wisdom and deeper thinking that happens but doesn’t come to light in the noise, cut and thrust of a busy workplace.

Available as a keynote talk with Q’s and A’s, and as a half-day/full day workshop.

The Art of Shouting Quietly – a guide to self-promotion for introverts and other quiet souls. (Based on the book of the same name)

The talk is aimed at people who have brilliant ideas and excel at what they make, do or create but who struggle to be heard through shyness, introversion, lack of confidence or a simple mistrust of marketing and social media. Learn how to choose and use the techniques and platforms that suit quieter people and develop the confidence to use them. Find out where you can really shine in real life and online in order to successfully promote your products and ideas.  Available as a keynote talk with Q’s and A’s, and as a half-day/full day workshop.

Cheeky Letters and Dream Lists – the TEDx talk.

A talk about confidence, making your mark on the world and finding success on your own terms. The original 18-minute version was delivered at Derby TEDx. The talk has been revised and updated to a full keynote length and has been delivered in many venues all over the UK. It’s an evergreen talk designed to help the audience reflect on their potential and leave inspired to do more with their lives. Available as a talk with Q’s and A’s
