Howard Webb has always loved football but when he realised he was not going to reach the heights he wanted to as a player, he opted to follow the referee route . He has gone on to become one of the country's top respected referees in the domestic football Premiership and with FIFA for international duties.

To pursue his referee aspirations, Howard is currently on a career break from his role as a police sergeant with South Yorkshire Police where he has been a serving officer for 15 years.
