World record holder & Britain's greatest ever Triple Jumper. Passionate presenter with a focus on Personal Best.
Ashia is a former World Indoor Champion and World record holder and dominated the athletic runways for nearly a decade. She switched from long jump to triple jump in 1992 and never looked back. She became one of the world's greatest Triple Jumpers and without a doubt Britain's greatest ever female jumper having set twenty British records.
She competed at Olympic and Commonwealth Games and also World and European Championships and World and European Cups. At the 1998 European Indoor Championships in Valencia, Ashia won a gold medal with a world record jump of 15.16m. She is also the UK record holder for the outdoor event.
Ashia struggled with injuries over the years and retired early through injury in 2008. She remains involved in the sport she loves but in a coaching role and enjoys passing on her knowledge and experience to the next generation of Britan's jumpers.
